“Did someone say bamboo?!”

The baby over the last 3 days. He/she is getting so big. Today after feeding, he/she climbed onto my laptop and curled into a ball by the screen.

Here’s the little pig that I had to rescue from her amniotic sac. Her mother was getting very fatigued and took small bites at the sac. After that she left the baby, gasping inside her amniotic sac, to go dry off the other two babies she had just birthed. I decided to take action and pinched it to allow the baby to get air. She still wasn’t moving much so I gathered her in a towel and rubbed her, stimulating her to breathe, drying her off. Slowly, she started to move and after about a minute, she stood up in my hand and squeaked at me. It was so adorable. I couldn’t believe it. I had just saved a baby guinea pig. I set her back in her cage and she nestled close to her mother. She is thriving well and is a active little piglet. I can hear all three of them now, happily squeaking in their cage.
